SmartSwitch Technologies is a pioneer in the design and development of network-based distributed-intelligence systems for commercial vessels, pleasure boats, and yachts of all types and sizes.

Their R&D team has developed systems for the marine environment using time-proven state-of-the-art materials and techniques which will ensure a long life at sea.

Designed and built in New Zealand under strict ISO-9000 quality standards, SmartSwitch provides an integrated approach to monitoring and control.

These systems distribute the intelligence to the locations where monitoring and control are required – the bilges, tanks, engine rooms, and other locations where application-specific sensors detect the status of various critical vessel conditions.

Using a small-gauge, 2-wire communication line, these microprocessor-based controllers are tied to a dedicated centralized master display unit. The Master Display Unit allows the captain to monitor vessel operations  exercise control - all from one location.

Since 2002 these systems have been operating in vessels in and around Australia, New Zealand, and the South Pacific. They are now being introduced to North America for boat manufacturers and retrofitters.
